I like Kiffin's moxie in flying up to TN and trying to turn things around with Leavitt.

Many coaches would be too proud to do that as it can be construed as an act of desperation, but Kiffin marches to the beat of his own drummer and I like it.

I get that LSU is "doing well" in the portal, but Kiffin's failure to secure a QB has been pretty embarrassing to the program at a time when the entire country already hates us.
I hope I get 1,000 downvotes. Deep down you people know I'm right. The coping you all have been doing is sad. It's okay to admit the QB portal search has been a colossal failure. LSU is looking at the scraps now.

How is it embarassing? We’ve missed on one who had a girlfriend at the school he committed to and one who has taken a visit to every part of the country. If you are embarrassed by that it’s sad.

The only quarterback loss so far I've been sad over is MVB. I thought he was secure in Baton Rouge for next season. And he looked sharp, finally in the Texas Bowl. I actually lost sleep the night he chose to portal out.

Was Burrow the perceived QB in the portal? How about Daniels? How about Trinidad Chambliss?
My point is going after the name brand guys is fine, but coaches are paid to identify and develop talent. I think Kiffin can do that better than them all, so I’m going to give him some leash here.
