And that seems like it would be a relatively easy fix. I would think this is putting more on the other pillars which puts more wear and tear on them.

The Louisiana way, its not a problem until it becomes a problem.

Maybe his new bridge man Archie Chiasson will get on it.

This seems like a good enough thread to remind people that a study came out several years back now that found more than 40,000 bridges in the US are structurally deficient.

If you are legitimately asking me my answer is a resounding no.

He has a way, and I am seriously not trying to be a dick, this is just how i feel, of making a state that needs literally no introduction nationwide as it involves violent crime, drugs, extortion, gambling, prostitution, illiteracy, broke etc. looking worse each time his voice somehow touches an airwave that reaches someone else’s ears, even his moms.

Nothing that a couple of gallons of bleach and some water wouldn’t fix!

It’s flirting with being functionally obsolete within the next 20 years anyways.

Mean even if it was in pristine condition, it is likely going to be significantly undersized for the traffic it handles within 20 years. It should already be a candidate for a widening to 6 lanes, larger inside and outside shoulders, and safety lighting…..so they may as well just do the big foundation repairs when they widen it. I figure that is all about $2.5b just to talk about it.

If you pressure wash that, how much more will fall off?

Also, what happens if the New River Control Structure lets a massive amount of water through and does a scouring pressure wash?

We watched repairs on a couple of bridges in East Tennessee and their "before" looked so much better than that scarey video.
