If Leavitt is out until summer, you cannot go through spring with only 2 QBs

They will have to sign at least 1 more QB, and then they can have 3 for Spring ball. Then they can judge Piccarella and determine if he is playable in an emergency, or if they need to add another QB in the summer.

Ideally we could land another one, but I don't see many guys in the portal wanting to come be QB3.
Best case, they could maybe get a journeyman QB who just wants one last ride in college football. And that guy probably wouldn't be any better than Pic anyway.

If there's a young guy out there who isn't in line for a starting job anyway, then it wouldn't be a bad idea to spend a year learning from this staff with the intention to transfer out to a smaller school next year to get playing time.

Not sure why anyone would interpret my post as complaining. We are simply discussing roster management.
I'm extremely happy with the two transfers, as well as Picarella, who is an above average walk-on.
But if Leavitt is unavailable for Spring, you cannot go through an entire spring with only two quarterbacks. There are too many drills and workouts where QBs are needed. Three is probably not even enough.
This isn't a complaint, and isn't even controversial.
