He is just digging himself in a deeper hole. He needs to take his losses like a man and move on

I would do the same thing, not that it will help Mrs. Kelly.

Kelly was a real tough guy until they tried to hit his pocketbook.

This whole movement by the left to try and masculinize their male candidates is hilariously misguided.

My favorite is Mayor Pete wearing a permanent beard now

Saw a guy Saturday near the Sports Book in the Cirque during the playoffs that I swear was him, but this dude was a few years younger and not quite as Gollum-looking.

Free publicity for Kelly and he feels it makes him look like a fighter/martyr to his constituents by standing up to the government despite his extremely harmful activity.

Remember, this is the same guy who has no problem taking away an inalienable right from the entire US citizenry due to his very own personal issue.

Selfish SOB!!

Expedite the calling into service and subsequent court martial.

Would this not have to be fought in military court?

Sorry, Sir, you’re gonna take this UCMJ hammering first before you lose the civil case.

Good. That will require discovery.

Yep, this is not surprising.

Anyone who believes they are innocent has to take action in this case… Given the circumstances.

Personal opinion of this situation makes no difference. It could end up being an important case.

Every legal everything knows there is no case against Kelly. Which is why Hegseth is trying to do everything administratively. It isn't even NJP, pretty sure you can't take a retiree to NJP, and even if you could the UCMJ is pretty specific about NJP punishments - retirement benefits isn't one of them.

Tat-boy isn't going to win, but he'll keep his bros (you all) happy with the effort, then will blame the courts for hating America when he loses. Don't worry tho, no one will stop Pete from murdering survivors floating in the ocean, because war isn't murder.

"That’s not the way things work in the United States of America, and I won’t stand for it."

Jeez what a toad.

This is similar to the Minneapolis ICE shooting. Don't want a problem? Don't go looking for a problem. I have plenty of veteran friends and they fully understand the difference between SecWar not liking what they say and encouraging serious misconduct and seditious behavior.

Agreed. Kelly deserves his pension for his service. He put in the time.

Looks to me like he has not backed-down by one iota and that he is counter-punching.

What a coward.

Well, that depends, doesn't it?

If someone is guilty of making seditious statements it doesn't matter how much time they put in, I would think they could be stripped of benefits they otherwise would retain in good standing. I doubt you retain your pension if you are court marshaled, for example, even of you have 50 years in.

On the other hand, if the court rules that the statements don't rise to the level of sedition, then Hegseth is guilty of textbook retaliation violations of the 1st Amendment.

So the amount of time Kelly has in is not the factor. Whether those remarks are considered seditious is the operative factor.
