Wanted to get thoughts on him going to the portal. I was hoping he would stay, lots of untapped potential with him. Should LK pursued him to stay?

The big difference between Kelly and Kiffin is Kiffin isn't just chasing the highest stars or biggest names.

Pretty sure it just has to do with money. He wants more than LSU is willing to pay to keep him but that's just my thoughts. Nothing else would make sense other than him potentially slipping even further down the depth chart

I would have liked to keep him. I think he could have had big numbers in a Kiffin offense. He had incredible numbers at OU.
The writing was on the wall though with all the WRs we’ve signed, plus Lane will be spreading the ball around to all of them without a dominant guy.
He’s a talented WR that could have done more in a better offense, would have liked to see it work out at LSU but inevitable it wouldn’t be.

Seriously though, he was incredibly underwhelming last year after we took a chance on him post-OU injury.
He would’ve played seventh fiddle to the WRs we brought in. Wasn’t going to factor in as much as you would’ve thought.

Because our scheme sucked, the oline sucked, the play calling sucked, and the coaching sucked. And because of the reasons above, Nuss couldn’t get anybody the ball. It wasn’t that Anderson or Nuss became worthless, it was all the reasons above. It’s hard to complete a pass when all the receivers are running down the field with their backs to the QB.
We never had receivers open or catching the ball moving forward with space to run. If we did complete a pass, our WR’s were blanketed.
