Everyone knows he has to be fired at some point this season. Rip the bandaid off and do it now. Give the fans some optimism, and much needed HOPE for the future. He’s had his chance. It’s time to move on.

Fire him tomorrow. Give Taz interim. 06 reunion Saturday will be lit

Verge already said he was not doing that.

Fire McMahon and hire Shaq to be the interim.

Why wouldn’t he just take another job elsewhere? Someone will take a flyer on him.
Seems like it would be best for everyone

Right? This gap between football and baseball just never seems to end.

This isn’t football. LSU is not going to do that. It’s basketball.

Let him finish. We will win 4 or 5 games wuth a healthy Thomas. Fire him in March.

I'd like to disagree, but it is hard to.
I'm one of the few who can set aside the fact that it does not look like MBB and enjoy watching the women play, so that will help a little.

No. There are limited people on the basketball team and it is an insanely technical sport. Let the team finish the season, then fire him. It’s bigger than you.

Unless you have a coach who is willing to leave their team midseason, it doesn’t accomplish anything. Unlike in football, our season is going to end vastly earlier than tournament teams. We have plenty of time to shitcan him and then try to go after another coach.

There’s no rush.
Start planning now, but we don’t need an interim coach. That doesn’t work.

LSU basketball needs a total reset. That's not going to happen mid-season. In fact, the WORST thing that could happen is to have an interim HC have a modicum of success and have people clamoring that he should be named the permanent HC. That RARELY works. Look no further than the analyst on the broadcast last night, Rodney Terry. He took over a really good Texas team when Chris Beard was unexpectedly fired 1/3rd of the way through the season. Terry led that good team to a deep tournament run. The result was Texas naming him the permanent HC. Texas then regressed for each of the 2 years after that and Terry was let go.
There is no one on this LSU staff that is a hidden gem just in need of an opportunity. So unless the players just have a complete mutiny towards McMahon, you give him the respect of allowing him to finish the season. A mid-season firing is not going to give LSU any advantage in hiring a replacement. In fact, if could work against LSU as it may cause schools of potential targets start the process now of shielding their coach from a potential hire by LSU.

They better fire MM soon because when Thomas gets back those close losses will become victories. The more wins the more harder it will be to fire MM.With DT they can win games.
