Kinda pales in comparison to the no call to me. At least we just fricked up in the MM.

Those were two absolutely awful playoff losses in a row.

I’d throw the SF game in there as well. Just 3 gut wrenching losses in humongous situations. With very different mechanisms.

The one you kinda saw coming.

The absolute blunder of blunders.

The royal fricking.

I'll say this for the Times Pic.

They have had some New York Post level headlines regarding the Saints over the years.

I doubt the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation would ever have such a humorous headline for the Falcons.

The San Francisco game and the Rams game hurt 10000000x more than the Meaningless Miracle.

That 2017 team was so depleted on the lines that we probably would have gotten blown out by the Eagles just like the Vikings were.

But the 2018 and 2011 teams were absolutely better than the 2011 and 2018 Pats. That is two rings we lost. I don't think there is a chance in hell that the 2011 squad would have lost to the Giants in the dome.

correct. we were 9-0 at home that year. had already blown out the G men at home during regular season. we were not losing at home that year. basically our greatest show on turf team breaking offensive records.

The best Times Picayune headline was after the Rams game

It’s wild to think of Brees with 3 and Brady with 2 less in retrospect. So many narratives would be changed, especially had Brees beaten him twice head to head and manning once.

If Brees wins in 2011, at the peak of his power, he’s the consensus 2nd best qb of his era behind Brady and I think widely seen as a top 5 qb to ever play.

The SF game was awful.
Pierre sucker punched and our awful prevent defense at the end…

Agreed. In fact the Vikings kind of kicked our arse that game IIRC (I've never rewatched a second of that shite) until they just had a classic Vikings playoff choke, but unfortunately Marcus Williams choked harder.

The 2011 and 2018 Saints were two of the best NFL teams I have ever seen period. I cannot believe we didn't get a ring out of either. Also just imagine if we win it in 2018. Brees would have probably retired and Brady would have come and led us to 1-2 more

Marcus Williams led the comeback and gave it back

But we had lost both LT and LG during the Minnesota game. Philly's defense was absurd and hounded the shite out of Minnesota.

Sean Payton was good for getting us to the playoffs and then us losing in horrific, heartbreaking fashion

Watched it live and still remember the shock of the moment. Face went flush and coworkers said I looked like I had passed out
