I'm not really in to community theatre, but this was pretty entertaining.
He berates them for taxing and spending and even works-in a reference to "rookie numbers".

I dunno, it kind of highlights the apathy of the voters. Sure they showed up to voice their opposition to the taxes, but when the council raised them anyway no one could be bothered to show back up and raise hell. Politicians know this which is why they don’t really fear their constituents.
