I used to dip and I quit like 15 years ago. Haven’t had any of it since.

Was in Walmart and saw they were selling nicotine-free dip pouches. Basically it’s like herbs and chamomile tea and shite in a dip pouch. Thought this is interesting. Wonder what this is all about. Bought a tin just to see what it was like.

Did a couple. Pretty good. Nice taste and gives you that little burn in your lip. No nicotine in them whatsoever mind you. I been feigning my arse off for a couple of days now craving a real dip. WTF. Nicotine addiction is a REAL mothrfricker.

Just posting this to warn other people who have quit it’s a dumb idea to mess around with nicotine free stuff just for the frick of it.

I'm so cheap, I couldn't buy a pack, smoke 1, and throw the rest out. I'd end up smoking the whole pack

What's so good about nicotine. Does it give you as good of a feeling as being buzzed from alcohol?

that seems like a pretty head scratching and mighty poor decision. Like a long time recovering alcoholic trying a non-alcoholic beer just for fun.

I dipped for 13 years and quit cold turkey several years ago. Absolutely disgusting habit, I can't even be around somebody dipping now.

When I need a little boost I use a 2 mg nicotine patch now. One can will last me weeks, and I'm so weak to it that I do get a little buzz from those 2 mg's.

It does help me a bit when I'm tired or need to focus on something.

No, you don't feel anything at all after you have used it for awhile. However, once you are addicted, you feel like punching someone when you don't have any.

It’s also an oral addiction.

I never actually felt like that if I didn't have dip. I only went through a couple cans a week, so maybe I wasn't actually chemically addicted.

It was definitely a habit though.

That's what got me last year. I quit dipping in 2010. 14 years later a buddy offered me a zyn and I was curious. Had to stop on the way home and get a can.

I quit tobacco and do zyn now. But when I smell some copenhagen or skoal now I still love the smell and want one. Fortunately, the few times I've tried a lip of it since I've quit, I can't keep it in for more than 30 seconds.

But yes, I do not miss having the spittoon laying around and the receding gumline.

Is it the burn on the lip that you miss the most?

[requestsOTfreePass]

Or is it that little phallic symbol between the lips?

Yeah, that shite scared me.

Had a relative die recently. His problems started with mouth cancer from dipping for 55 years.
