Jay Leno stunned at being asked if he'd get a girlfriend now as he's caretaking his wife

He's not leaving her side, she's still quite living, yet some *guy thought it wise to ask the question.
Even Jay, who grew up in Hollywood, or the entertainment biz for decades, is taken aback.

Best I can offer is that maybe the 'reporter' was trying to be funny? Trying out his own material on a legendary comic?

Not sure when the video was shot, but a little over a year ago he was looking rougher.

Caregiving will take it out of you
Physically, and worse, emotionally.
Watching your wife fade, and realizing you can't stop it, or make it better, is extremely difficult.
You can't write a check to fix it, and you can't out-work it.
Still, it is the best job in the world.

Could make a good argument that “journalists” have surpassed politicians as the most despicable people.

This reporter should be working for another employer by now.
Not the public face I’d want for my business.

not accurate to even call them that anymore, journalism is dead, sensationalism is the word of the day

No reporter asked it. He says "a guy asked him"

The press strikes again. A lot of really rotten people are "journalists".

His humor wasn't always my favorite and he always got shite from guys like Jimmy Kimmel and Letterman, but he always seemed like a good guy. Didn't waste his time bad mouthing others and wasn't mean with his comedy. He kept things light. Letterman and Kimmel not liking him is actually a big positive.
