He didn’t play Saturday and I didn’t see anything about him being out so anyone know the story on him? Is he “rehabbing”the rest of the year?

what good does it do to opt out at this point? not like he can get a redshirt or anything.

Part of McMahon’s developmental program is having players quit every year.

He injured the foot again. Was on pace to return then had a setback. Also saw an article where it was mentioned this wasnt a case of opting out.

He clearly reinjured himself against Miss St. I think the question is whether or not there is a reason for him to play with an injury, or wait until fully healed. I don’t think it’s an opting out sort of thing.

He isn't a lottery pick lock so why would he opt out?

MM made it a point to say in a recent press conference to say he wasn't "opting out". I think that is probably true. But I also think he's not going to play unless he is fully healthy...which he may not be the rest of the season. So it might not be an "official" opt out, but one in practice.

That appears to be fan favorite, Ron Zipper, who I don't think was even on the bench on Saturday. You also have freshmen, who don't play, to seemingly "develop" to go play elsewhere next season

After watching him play, I think he should take a step down in competition. He shouldn’t be getting any playing time over Mosley, who already gets very little.

If he is hurt at all what good does it do him to play? LSU isn’t going anywhere this year with or without him. That’s assuming he isn’t 100% and he must not be.

And never having to answer for it because the media covering MBB is spineless and gutless

Great argument. Tons of sound points. You seem smart.

I am not sure it means anything, but DJ was "into the game" from his position on the bench at least in terms of cheering and encouraging the players who played.
