I wouldn’t mind playing whoever the hell we want and not having to deal stupid anti-LSU bias from the SEC. They dont give a shite about us.

We could control all revenue we earn and not have to follow BS rulings from the conference.

Let’s start the revolt!

If it meant you not posting anymore threads like this, I think they should heavily consider it.

that ship sailed when we did not bail after the highway robbery in 2006 called "grand theft auburn".

way too much money involved now.

Texas, which has a much bigger fan base, controlled 100% of it’s revenue through the Longhorn network, but didn’t hesitate to join the SEC for a bigger slice of revenue even though it’s shared. 100% of one fan base revenue vs 1/16 of 16 combine fan bases. Plus 1/16 of everybody’s’ post season revenue is a lot bigger than 100% of your own post season revenue if you don’t make the post season or advance very far.

How much do you think a network would pay us to air our football games vs North Texas and Central Michigan? We’d go from 5 or 6 premier games the country would be interesting in seeing down to 1 or 2. The SEC teams wouldn’t agree to play us. How much revenue would you expect us to earn during basketball season?

That would be a true path to mediocrity. We would be accused of not being able to compete in the SEC and that we were running away. Our tv money would take a huge hit, etc. etc. I hate the fact that the SEC has expanded to where some years we don't play traditional rivalries but that is the way modern sports are.

You do realize this would work against LSU massively in today's landscape right? No, this would be a horrible idea. You'd never sniff a NC even with winnings seasons and I'm not even sure money wise it would be better for LSU. It's not exactly the biggest market in the country to be claiming exclusivity even if the brand is recognizable.

Let me guess…..when you were a kid, you took your ball and went home when the other kids didn’t let you win all the time.

Anyone that truly believes it benefits the SEC to be anti-LSU needs to be committed.

We do this shite every time we lose a big game in every sport.
