I like how they are against accepting drug money to pay for tuition to an academy, but we made a crypto reserve with billions worth taken from all kinds of criminals, including drug lords.

So, you think that the Mexican Drug Cartels play pattycake with their enemies.

You are the dumbest motherfricker on this Board if you believe that!

How does a school verify where the parents of their students get their money?

This seems beyond their responsibilities.

Is there some burden to verify that I am unaware of?

yea somebody posted on social media it was the law for them to verify....its there some system i do not know about that allows a business to verify where payment came from?

this is dumb af to me. So they accept tuition payment, schools do not go verify where that money came from nor do they have the ability to.

and of course every single person on Social media uses this to bash IMG and how terrible it is because god forbid parents of means not want to send their kid to the local government school.

it says the two individuals were sanctioned. guessing there is a list somewhere they can cross check against and not deal with them if on the list. kind of like people that had their check on the wall at the gas station back in the day because they wrote them a hot check so the gas station knows not to take a check from that person?

Dictators, cartel members and organized crime families send their kids to colleges and private schools all over the world, especially in the United States.

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, in the U.S. right now.

Yes they can. Any time a wire is processed, a financial institution will screen the parties involved using programs like WorldCheck or LexisNexis against OFAC SDN list. Very common actually.

It’s not like drug money built Miami (the city) or anything. There’s a reason Miami blew up in the 80s with high rises and banks being built on every corner.

Other than being left hanging from a bridge somewhere, id take dealing with the cartels over our "leaders" and extravagantly rich any day. With the cartel you at least know what youre dealing with and that you arent Peter paying Paul. Its likely our leaders and extravangantly rich are using our own money against us to pay for their amusements. All the while conjuring up a situation where they can take more.
