Weirdly trying to choose a team out east to root for because the Pelicans aren’t even a real franchise.

Larry Bird is my favorite player of all time so I’m thinking about throwing my lot behind the Celtics in the east besides the Pels in the west. Any Boston fans here or multi-team fans? I’m tired of Zion boss.

ETA: I know I might catch some shite on here but please understand

Sort of bandwagon.

Tho with pro sports, some of those iconic franchises to seem to transcend region.

Root for what makes the sport fun for you, I say.

See, I hate the lakers already so this could be easy. Root against the Lakers as a Pels and Celtics fan.

I seriously just don’t want to look dumb having two teams ya know.

People who judge other people based on the team they root for are dumb.

My adult son is a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan because I went on a business trip to Toronto when he was young and brought him back a Maple Leafs jersey. Neither of us were hockey fans at the time, it just seemed like a good gift for him. There are a bunch of reasons people pull for far away teams.

F the haters man, you can do whatever you want. I became an Everton fan because a coworker is from Liverpool and I wanted something to talk about. Another coworker is a huge Dallas Stars fan so I started rooting for them too.

Now I have more stuff to watch and care about, it’s great.

F what anyone else thinks. Pro sports teams can up and leave cities. Players change teams. Its not like college where you have a connection to the school. Its ok to change who you follow for pro sports.

I just follow whoever I currently live by or whoever is within a reasonable distance to where I can make a game without getting on a plane. Aside from the Rangers since I've been following them since I was a kid.

I've lived in 3 different states over the last 6 years. I've got quite the collection of pro sports teams shirts.

From near Baton Rouge and have been a Celtics fan my whole life cause my older brother loved the Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox before he passed away.
Learned it from him growing up.
And I have an aunt from Boston.
Plenty of reasons for why people like different teams man.

In the 70's lots of Celtics fans were white. They had the whitest team in the league. My dad was always a Celtics fan.
