lol Gunn universe is worse than the Snyderverse by far

I like that.
Small setting. Solid actor. And they managed to show a two minute trailer without a CGI jizz fountain all over the screen.

3 "fricks" dropped in one short teaser trailer. So edgy!
There are quite a few DC properties geared towards adults, but Green Lantern is not one. Can we make these Superhero shows safe for young children again, or must we keep ruining the experiences for them by trying so hard to be fricking cool?
Jimmy Gunns can't get out of his own way. Maybe this Paramount buyout will fix the DC Uni. Then again, I thought the last CEO takeover could possibly do that. Oh well

So is Guy Gardner from Superman movie an alien? Or is this not in the same universe.

Either the CGI isn't ready to be shown yet, or they're staying away from the wackiness of Guy Gardner for this show

And right on cue, the white guy is the butt of the jokes and the black guy is superior.
Everything woke goes to shite.
And it's a shame really. I like the idea and I collected a ton of GL comics back in the day. But Hollywood can't fricking help themselves. They HAVE to repeat THE MESSAGE.

Warner Bros Discovery buying out HBO was one of the worst things to have happened to the company.
20 years ago, HBO had a reputation for producing mid-budgeted drama shows that had superb dialogue and character development. They were a masterclass in that with shows like The Sopranos and John Adams. Now they’re nothing more than a corporate milker that produces generic, high-budget, cookie-cutter super hero shows in order to compete with companies like Disney.

HBO is still producing great shows

No they aren’t. HBO is a shell of the company they once were in the 2000s and early 2010s.

I would say Apple TV has overtaken them, but HBO is a fairly clear #2.

One of the worst superheros out there (they can just make anything they want with the stupid ring), with a terrible movie that already flopped, and they want to do a series? and as people have already said it looks like it takes place in a taylor sheridan story? The animated series was very good so maybe the suggestion above that the character should be made for kids is correct. I can't believe HBO would greenlight this before Penguin Season 2 (or was that Collin Farrell's decision?).
