That’s ridiculous, whether you like it or not he is the President of the United States. The office provides privileges and sitting in a hearing in the US Supreme Court is one of those privileges.

Why would this piss off SCOTUS? You realize that oral arguments are open to the public and he is a party to the suit, right? He is well within his rights to be there and his presence shouldn't affect the way SCOTUS conducts themselves whatsoever. To suggest he shouldn't be there flies in the face of everything our judicial system stands on.
