Iran: That's not what we agreed to.

hours after the ceasefire US officials offered mixed responses to Iran’s proposal and what Washington understood the key points of the document to be.

the Persian version of the plan notably diverges from the English one on a key sticking point between Washington and Tehran – Iran’s right to enrich uranium.

Are there different versions of Iran’s 10-point plan?
In short, yes. At least two different versions of that same plan appear to exist, one in English and the other in Persian.
In the Persian version, made public by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, it said the “US has, in principle, committed to” a series of demands, most notably the “acceptance of enrichment”, signalling that any deal must recognise Iran’s right to continue enriching uranium.
However, this phrase was allegedly omitted from the English-language version.

It is absolutely pointless to try to make any deals with Iran. Least trustworthy people on the planet. Every President thinks they can do a deal with them and it doesn’t work.

JDV's "entertaining" the Iranians in PK will be the last straw IMO. If they don't concede or re-open the strait, you'll have a coalition of countries going after them.
If they are isolated from the rest of the world, including Russia, their bargaining chips will be diminished.

This would be the point where you know Iran is lying. There is no way this would be allowed to happen.

We were the ones who lied on at least a couple of facets, not Iran (at least in regards to the Strait and the ceasefire extending to Lebanon)
Pakistan was the mediator and they agree with Iran on both of the above points.
Trump did his typical snowing and God bless him for it this time, because we need to get out. But technically he's the one who lied and tried to spin it.

Trump knows this. I think he did it for a number of reasons but not because he believed they would honor it.

But 2000 yrs of translating the Bible has every word exactly as god spoke in perfect translation.

That's not true. We have lied a LOT over the past month and a couple of lies told to end this war is something I fully support.
These were good lies IMO.

Trump agreed to have Pakistan as the mediator so he could call them liars also.

They know it’s political suicide to invade them for any politician, including Trump, and can wait us out hiding in mountains and bunkers to avoid airstrikes.
Hell they probably hope he continues so they can get a democrat back in power to send them pallets of cash again.

I do not know about you guys and girls but I am starting to think that Pakistan was not telling both sides the truth. I think that they told us that Iran agreed to our terms and they told Iran that we agreed to their terms.

Who said Iran was looking to make a deal deal? Trump confused a tactical deal with a strategic deal and does not have all the cards present to affect a strategic deal.
You still have Iran dictating terms because they control at least half of the Strait.

Having dealt with middle easterners in sales, I can tell you the deal changes at each and every point, even through delivery and payment.

I think we care more about this than they do.

This is certainly possible. I’ve seen this happen before in negotiations with 3rd parties. They do this to get the agreement and then worry later about fallout hoping it doesn’t actually queer the deal. Very unethical.
