There was a report going around that the Trump Department of War threatened the Vatican. Today, the vatican put the entire story to bed.

It is worth noting the same guy who pushed the ridiculous story that the Vatican just condemned is the same person who said Axlerod was facilitating a meeting with Obama.
Nobody knows what he met with Pope Leo about and it is just as likely he met with Pope Leo about Misericordia which is a facility in Chicago for intellectual disabilities run by the Catholic Church. Axlerod’s daughter has lived there.

I’m Catholic as well. It’s not so much about child predators as it is about gay men who have infiltrated the clergy and hierarchy. Victims are overwhelmingly sexually mature males, often adults in positions of vulnerability (ie. Seminarians). The RCC never really had a pedophile problem. It had a fa-ggots-who-snuck-into-the-priesthood problem. Still waiting for a legitimate reformer to purge us of these Lavender Mafia abominations.

The Pope is further to the right socially than almost every Republican in congress.
Pope Leo has been systematically dismantling a lot of the Francis legacy. Cardinal Parolin, who was Francis’ right hand, has done a 180 on lots of issues because he can see the tide shift.
There are wonderful, and I mean truly wonderful, young priests in the Catholic Church. The church does not operate like politics. It will be another 10-20 years before this extremely traditional generation is in position to become Bishops and then another 5-15 years to become cardinals.
Francis hand selected the majority of the Conclave. The idea a Robert Sarah was coming out as Pope were always slim. Pope Leo was a step in the right direction.
