So The New York Times took it upon themselves to buy some airtime for MNF for equal pay in sports...not that Williams is living by the skin of her teeth...or that the US women's soccer team makes more than the US men's.
Hey Times, how about...equal pay no matter how good you are? I mean, it really isn't anyone's fault they aren't as talented. The 110th ranked player should make just as much as the 1st...isn't that what liberalism is all about?

I’m old enough to remember the godawful Bobby Riggs/Billie Jean King fiasco. It inevitably changed the “debate”. Had she played Boris Becker or Bjorn Borg or MCENROE(!), none of this delusional shite would have evolved. Better yet, she should have played a men’s # 4 or 5 college player from a major university team. Same point.

In entertainment and sports is entertainment, people generally get paid according to the amount of money the entertainment brings in and then it depends on the worth to the enterprise.
NBA players make more than WNBA players.
If men’s and women’s soccer bring in equal amounts of revenue then the participants should get equal compensation, but they do not. The men bring in more revenues thus they get paid more.

Here’s the thing. They changed the rules.
The old man hit towards a singles court and defended a doubles court. King did the opposite. If memory serves, King got two served and Riggs just one.
