How does he become eligible to plat next season? I thought LHSAA looks down on situations like this.

There would have to be a legit change of residence into that school district, I am pretty sure.

Rumor around BM alum circles is Royal isn't happy at BM. Thinks he deserves to be on a better team to show off his talents.
Pretty sure BM just won’t let him leave early and graduate being a college prep school and all. It’s an actual school and not a football factory.

Let's hope our offense gels quickly to show this kid the stage he can have. Best receiver out of La. in a few years. He might be Jamar Chase good.

Times are different. Gotta strike while the iron is hot. If a stud prospect leaves following his junior year, that’s an extra year of $1 million plus income.

Does Catholic of BR have the same policy? BM & Catholic are run by the same religious order and used to be closely aligned.

Sark is trying every trick in the book to get him to move to IMG and away from LA.

That’s easy. Ascension Parish sells homesites for cheap just for that! Prairieville High needs a WR!

More so when a kid leaves a public school to go private.
Leaving a privileged school like Brother Martin will be celebrated.

That’s rumor in BM circles, but that’s not the reason.
Royal is ready to finish high school completely and focus on football.

That's why Karr was pushing him before Christmas. You had to submit paperwork to InspireNOLA by January 23rd. I'm sure they could get him in if they really wanted to but I'm pretty sure the LHSAA wouldn't let him play football next year.

I thought this was saying he was going to Baton Rouge High, and was like I don’t think they have a football team

I haven't heard any seriousness to him leaving BM. I know IMG was definitely considered but I don't think it was all too serious. Easton is a really good kid and has plenty of close friends at BM. While his talents may be superior to BM, he's not a selfish kid. He can get and be everything he wants to be right at BM and graduate with the guys he's been with all this time.
Of course, things can obviously change and maybe some things are going on in private. But, I just haven't heard anything serious.

I'm sure his friends will understand wanting to enroll next January and cashing in on some NIL. He can thrown them one hell of a graduation party.

I went to school with a soccer player that left mid year to go to college. He had to take a general Louisiana diploma and not a Jesuit diploma but the school can't stop you from doing that.

Didn’t mean they would hold him hostage, only that at a school like that wouldn’t graduate you as a BM/Jesuit grad as there is a pretty strict curriculum (or at least there was 25 years ago

Correct- he could go to BM through the fall and then get a GED I guess, but I don't think many would do that.

Br Martin lost to Rummel, Curtis, Karr, and St Aug. There is no shame in that. The Catholic League is stacked. 3 of the teams they lost to were in the final 4. Br Martin went to the playoffs and won a playoff game. They even beat St Paul's (a team that won their district). So maybe they aren't elite, but they are a good team. I guess that is a matter of opinion. And yes, Royal had a LOT to do with their success.
