Anyone concerned that he plays in an offense that has him getting shotgun snaps from 10 yards back? Feels like he'll have quite the adjustment when he gets to college.

He is athletic but I don't think i would consider him a dual threat.

Great scramble, like I said, he’s athletic. But he is going to be more of a 150-300ruYd per season guy than say 500-700ruYd guy. A true dual threat has regularly scripted running plays built into the offense and I just don’t think that’s his game

Right. But athletic QBs like this just kill defenses when the plays break down. At the college level passing plays breakdown a lot. See Marcel Reed against LSU last week as an example.

That play looked a LOT like Kyler Murray to me.

Found another video of the play on FB that someone from the emndzone took. Here is a gif of it.

Link to the FB post. The vid is in one of the comments.

If you look at it full screen on the FB link, it looks pretty clear he lost control before he got in. Of course, my kids went to LCA, and my son played football for Coach Trev several years back, so I may be a little biased in LCA's favor. I do try not to be, though.

ETA: but definitely close. Pop looked really good in this game, even though they lost. Evangels Oline did not do him any favors.

Biased much? Ha.

I think he was short, but nothing about any angle I've seen says that's 100% a fact.

I'd say 60% short. 40% in.
