Bad comparison. Wrestlers don’t run near as much in a 30 min match as a football player would in 1 quarter. Wrestlers can also work around injuries.

He's not. He had 34 matches last year. Even excluding January, that's less than once per week. He missed a total of like 8-10 weeks in 2025.

lisfranc surgery
Just like any other injury, there are degrees to it. If it was just a fracture then he is looking at 3-4 months of recovery. If there was a dislocation to go along with the fracture, then he is looking at closer to a year. Since no one here knows how bad it was, or where he is at in his recovery, its almost pointless to speculate

Cedric Benson injured his Lisfranc in 2012. He never played another snap after that.
Ronnie Brown injured his Lisfranc in 2009. He declined in 2010 by rushing 200/734/5 and receiving 33/242/0. He was relegated to backup duties in 2011 and never regained the job.
After a breakout year, Darren McFadden injured his Lisfranc in 2011. His next season he declined sharply rushing for 215/707/2 and receiving for 42/258/1.
IMO this is much different than a QB who is 21 years old. These were all NFL running backs with 4+ NFL seasons under their belt.

After being drafted 9th overall in 2007, Ted Ginn Jr. injured his Lisfranc prior to his rookie season. He never reached his potential and put up less than 40 catches and 500 yards in 5 of his first 6 seasons while battling injuries.
Dropping passes has nothing to do with a Lisfranc
I don't feel great about Leavitt having the injury, but he's clearly the best option at this point even with the injury. Gotta for it and hope he recovers well.

You’re on the money with Matt Mauck. I will say though in 2003 his mobility & explosiveness were much different than prior to his injury. Prior to his injury he was a real threat to hurt Defenses with his legs. I was at the Swamp in 2002 the night we kicked Florida’s arse and he got hurt with 7 mins left in the 4th quarter. If he doesn’t get hurt we not only win the West but a great chance at finishing in the Final 4 that year. Him getting hurt really derailed that season. LSU was 6-1 after that Florida game, finished 8-5 with a loss to Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

Pretty sure Derrick Stingley’s injury his last season at LSU was lisfranc

Didn’t Matt Mack have this injury after beating Florida back in the day?

Lester he never had more than 790 receiving yards as the 9th pick in the draft. Longevity is great but no he didn’t.
