the Lisfranc experts have turned into contract experts now

Well, actually, he’s correct

I don’t think 50 caniac combos gets the job done.

That’s not what was reported during the UW-Williams saga. They said the hit came against NEXT YEAR’S Rev Share pool, which would indicate that anyone could pay it now.

Money is money you pieces of shite. It shouldn’t matter how or where it’s paid from. Just take the money and stop holding the man hostage.

Can a player threaten to give no effort if they don't let him go?
And can they still be required to pay him then? Not a full out hold out, but basically the minimum to still get paid.
And at that point do you still keep him? I realize it's college and a player isn't likely to purposely tank his own draft stock, but I still wonder what would happen with paying a guy who doesn't want to be there and threatens to do nothing.
Especially if they are paying him a lot.
It's wild times.

They have to let him enter the portal if he submitted his intention to them by 11:59 PM CST on 01/16/2025. They're mandated by the NCAA to do it. His name will officially hit the portal to be contacted Monday or Tuesday due to deadline falling on a weekend. Everything else you're seeing/hearing out of Oxford or from its fan base is nothing more than nonsense.

OM is screwing that dude hard.
All these questionable actions by OM will haunt them for years to come. Let this get out how they treat their star athletes and their administration loses all respect.
OM in deep trouble….

i feel like a provision that requires money from a certain fund to pay a buyout isn’t enforceable and would be knocked down by a court.

OM is so desperate it is embarrassing. This proves to me that they know they aren't shite without CLK.

Well… of course. Put yourself in their shoes. They’ve always been garbage and for once they had a coach who was already elite coaching at a program well below his stature. Now, they know, that they have no chance and are back to celebrating 7 wins, which is their historical ceiling.
It’s probably incredibly hard to accept, I kind of feel bad.

We have spent in excess of $40 million on this class and thats before someone like Prince or Seaton. I’d have to think our revenue share has to be close to that $20.5 million limit. Being honest I think we only can take one of those guys and while Seaton is no doubt the bigger get because of the position he plays, I think we get Prince and he’s the opening game starter at DE opposite of Gabe Reliford. Not a bad consolation prize.

So they really just didn’t let this kid leave against his will?

no we have not. We will sign Seaton also. Money is not an issue. It all depends if Seaton wants in or not

Well apparently last off-season LSU had the money w collective and nil and didn't have to use last years rev share payment when Many teams did.. ideally they want to stay ahead and not have to "backload' contracts.. basically sign now paid n July.. So they have the money to go get a game wrecker.. or a probable All American LT.. Bec those two players are game changers.. 10-2 is going to be extremely tough w Next season schedule.. pay those two men!

Couldn’t he unenroll and enroll at LSU? Wouldn’t that allow them to give him extra NIL on his contract to pay the buyout? That way it technically is paid by him and not LSU.
I’m pretty sure, regardless of who pays it, it comes off of next season’s rev share cap. If that is correct, there’s plenty time to work around it.
Posted on 1/18/26 at 7:59 am to GeauxldMember
We have an outside NIL collective that does not apply to the cap. It’s one reason we landed Kiffin.
