Go make that money key.

Lol if he runs a 4.4 there will be GMs selling there grandmas for the 1st overall pick.

Short torso long legs. Don’t under estimate the stride

I think his question marks are gonna be too hard to overcome to go in the 1st, no matter what he runs the 40 in. There’s just not a satisfactory explanation for his last year to justify the investment. IMHO, of course.

See I think complete opposite. Good combine he’s going to be a 1st lock.

He should run about a 4.62. Still a second round pick at best.

I'm not aware of the details that led to him leaving the team in the off-season but would expect that his surgery (shoulder?) would be an easy explanation for the weight gain. If you can't work out for several months, that part would seem obvious.

I totally agree. I always thought that he had "football speed" but I would be very surprised if he ran a sub 4.6. I'm guessing he runs a 4.7-4.8

i think he's first round lock but teams are going to think really hard and tough debate say over a top 15ish selection. Hard to just overlook a player taking a leave of absence from football, probably drug rehab, and then getting so out of shape etc.

We’ll see. I’m certainly not gonna root against it.

Mingo ran a 4.58 at about that same weight. I think Key will be in that same range.
Posted on 3/2/18 at 1:32 pm to Bmath
Mingo had to gain weight onto what his normal frame was. This affected his time. He played in the high 220's, he weighed in at 241 at the combine.
Key on the other hand is a little on the low end on where he should be

I agree he's going to run in the 4.6s, but I think he's a first round pick

If GMs are worried about his 238 when he played at 255 then they're stupid. It's clear he'll go back to his 255 frame when the season starts. He's showing off his work ethic by shedding off that weight people were questioning his work ethic. What do they want out of the kid?

Anyone else fed up with LSU being the minor league for the pros? Sorry, I am just old and remember when student/athlete actually meant something. I don't have anything against someone making money. It is just that it seems that is what is most important these days. I wonder when we stopped expecting a student/athlete to actually stay four years and graduate?
LSU spends a lot of money on providing players like Key with the finest facilities, good food, great coaching and training, etc. and then he only contributes one great season and maybe four other games. Not as bad as Ben Simmons but not exactly someone who stays long enough to leave us with the feeling that he was one of us and gave all he had!
