Did I say they were not made on an individual basis? It’s my opinion based on what I’ve seen
GFY
It's still a silly opinion
If he transfers he would have to sit a year. Clyde is going to the NFL and he carried the bulk of the load this year. Next year Emery has a chance to contribute a lot and his style might be better suited for this offense than the other 2 backs on the roster.

curry is violent!
I absolutely love when he’s in the game.

This may have come up previously, but have to say I was a little bit caught off guard when Curry came in at the end rather than Emery. Anybody got any insight on this?
I honestly believe that it is situational football here. And I think players on this team understand that. Curry for between the tackles eat the clock tough yardage.
I think that TDP and Curry are the two short yardage, between the tackles guys for next year (I think Clyde hits the draft while his stock is high, he deserves that IMO, great Tiger). I think TDP and Emery will be the run wide, sweep, speed type guys for next year. All three will be catching passes out of the backfield from every formation I think.
Excited for these playoff games. Excited to see what next year holds. Hope all the backs get to touch the ball in the Championship game (that'll probably mean we are winning big).

He may never be good enough either, it happens all the time.
Bet you had the same opinion of Stevens and Shelvin last season.
Criticizing an underclassman, when they are not seeing the field, when playing behind someone like Clyde makes you appear foolish or someone who lacks knowledge.

Hester has said that he's told Emery to learn from Clyde and Learn that Playbook. His issue is playbook knowledge. Easy fix just takes time.
With Clyde leaving, he'd be stupid to leave.
Almost as stupid as your comment.

I have heard from coaches at high schools in Destrehan's district that indeed the rumor has been that Emery may transfer. My first thought was that BS and quite stupid on his part but it is what they said. Multiple people at different schools too.

Because Emery has only been in 4 games and will redshirt

Be careful. You will get called names here because you have an opinion

Emery has the most talent of all the rb’s. He needs to get stronger but I fully expect him to be the #1 next year.

I’d like to see Curry get more work

1. One of the big (unspoken) concerns coming out of camp was that Emery had some fumble issues. I suspect part of it was that the coaches just wanted to grind out the clock and not risk a TO. But more than that...
2. They were throwing a bone to a guy one year ahead of the freshman who hasn't played much other than special teams.

I'm just glad to see that Curry isn't David Ducre 2.0. I really think we will lose one of the RB's to transfer this year. Hopefully not, but if all 3 think they should be the feature back then I don't see how you keep all 3 happy.

That would be extremely short-sighted on his part. With Clyde going to the draft, he will probably step into that role if he can block halfway decent.

Everyone needs to chill, Emery needs to work on some stuff. It is not fair to Emery to expect him to step into the Saints offense out of high school and understand all the intricacies. Clyde has gotten more involved over the year, so people need to chill out. If he transfers then he transfers, but he should not play until he is ready.

I’m not criticizing anyone. The simplest answer is usually the correct answer. How is saying he’s not good enough right now criticizing when his lack of playing time backs it up? And no I have never said a word about Shelvin and Stevens.

How you going to bench Clyde for a freshman when Clyde is the talk of the SEC?
Smart gave Clyde all the recognition one needs to understand why freshmen running backs aren't playing.
Preseason, all the "self proclaimed experts" were telling us that Clyde was a liability.
Remember, after the Alabama game, Clyde specifically called out the doubters of him and the team. He was thinking of fans like yourself. Next year it may be Emery pointing fingers at you.
