I didn't like the Kelly hire when we made the move. He's a good coach, never has been a great coach. So what you're seeing three years is a good coach record with great talent.

no you aren't

We've and other teams as well have signed top 3 classes after going 7-5 and the fans screaming for the coach to get fired

As much as fans like to bash recruits for being wishy-washy recruits are way less emotional over game results

Because buyout money and NIL money come out of the same pot brainiac.

Most people that want him fired never wanted him to behind with. Myself included. He is a mediocre coach who will never win anything.

This is such a dumb take.
He’s not being fired this year nor should he. We’re staring down the barrel another 8-4/9-3 type season but that’s not getting him fired in year 3 of a guaranteed $100 million deal.
He does need to figure out how to stop losing week 1 and have his teams better prepared for it.

Recruits don't decommit because we lost by 7 points. Their NFL future, playing time and NIL are at the forefront. None of that changes

Fire anyone making 10 million a year and not winning NC this year - wait there are about 7/8 coaches doing that. LOL

Most of us know that it’s impossible to fire him but I think like me a lot of people are starting to realize that he’s probably not the guy.

No credit to Woodward for the success in other LSU sports?

He gets credit for Jay. Mulkey fell in his lap and he overpaid to get her here. And I give zero fricks about WBB. His football and MBB hires have been and will continue to be mediocre.

There are many many coaches getting paid way too much for the results they produce on the field.

This isn’t just an LSU problem.

Would this board still be up and running if LSU was only up 7 to Idaho at home in the 4th quarter and only to win by 10?

I’ve been roasting and toasting BK all day. Yet I’m not saying he needs to be fired and a lot of LSU fans likely feel the same. It isn’t realistic. But the dude 100% deserves to be wracked over the coals for this shite.

How dare you share a reasonable opinion on this site.

I say 2026 is the year. Year 5. Make the playoff or retire old man. Lsu has way more advantages than Ole Miss and Missouri and those schools are currently fielding much better football teams.

According to Kelly himself, 2024 was the year.

Then it became 2025 because it will be Nuss' second year starting.

Now it is 2026. Pretty soon 2026 won't be it either because we will have a first-time starting QB.

I'm looking towards 2027 for finally becoming competitive, myself.

We battled and made mistakes. You go back and try to get better. That’s all life is and that’s all football is,

Stuck with him. Who gives a coach $10 mil a year that has not won a NC? We did

Technically, Kelly has won 2 NC's.

And Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, USC and FSU are all paying their coaches - none of whom have won a NC, $10 million or more.

He is a great coach, but this may be the wrong fit for him. I think he overestimates the development these kids have before he gets them.

Saban got out of coaching because now everyone can pay players, not just him alone. LOL

BK will never win a Natty, ND knew it and we should be seeing it too. No wonder ND gave zero fight to keep this loser.
