Brian Kelly and Fat Scott get most of the blame, but how bad was Austin Thomas?
This new administration is light years ahead of those clowns. Seems to help to not be woke.

Pretty bad considering he was about 10 people’s source. Dude couldn’t shut the frick up.

He was beloved by the media close to the program as an essential element. Interesting to see where we are today without the must have AT

Not trying to be a prisoner of the moment with the whole Dabo/Ole Miss stuff, but I honestly don’t know what Austin Thomas did. He’s that guy at the party that’s “just there…”

Coach gets all the attention, but Glasscock is also a huge reason why these deals are happening. He has been crucial.

Before the NIL stuff, he would help with recruiting and that kind of stuff. He did pull Jacob Phillips by being the last one that stayed for him after a high school football practice. He was a 5 Star coming out of high school.
Other than that and him leaving and coming back a few times, I don't know much about what he did pre-NIL. Others would know more, but you probably won't get any kind of straight answer in the current climate.
Now and last year? He handled the money, deals and wore a headset to tell BK how much time we had on the clock. Now... It looks like it's pretty much the same and ratting out his boss which is hilarious. Not Skinny Pete will probably fire him if he doesn't get fired. Maybe Riley will let him go back to USC to do what he does.

He’s dealing with a fire at Ole Miss already.
What a shite show. Have fun you fricks

Austin Thomas has changed jobs about 10 times in his career. Not because he keeps getting promoted or poached, but because everyone is fine with him leaving. There’s no substance to anything he provides in his GM role.

He seemed a bit overrated. I mean the talk about this guy was a bit much.

I love the way backstabber Austin just threw Poaching Pete under the bus.

I honestly could not tell you - I do know when he was re-hired the reaction here seemed from my perspective much more on the positive side than the negative.
Whether warranted or not I have no idea.

I thought he walked on water a year or so ago??

U love that Glasscock don't you??
Hahahahahahaha I couldn't help myself...
Ok back to regular programming.. I think we more than upgraded at HC and GM.. And GM is proving very quickly to be almost as important than any assistant.. the power dynamic will be interesting for CFB down the road. We already see where ADs want it to be his guy.. But the HC is like nah I want my guy etc etc

This thread is ridiculous. Austin worked for Lane multiple times in the same capacity. Lane never fired him and hired him back at Ole Miss. He worked for Miles and Orgeron and BK. He was consistently promoted and lauded nationally by knowledgeable people, not just media.
The quality likely suffered under BK bc everyone hated BK and knew he was a lame duck. Would you want to play for BK? Donors weren’t giving as much to BK as they are to Lane now either
