Moving goal posts? I literally said that in the exact quote that you responded to. Hester has been to a total of one practice. Maybe he was at his 2nd one yesterday. Again, he’s reading the same reports that you and I are.

I could have written this myself. My sentiments exactly.

Yeah. I like reading the tea leaves purely for enjoyment, knowing real football is about to be here.

Based on what you are saying you have not given up on reading them but just matured enough to know that a lot of pre season hype or negatively don’t translate to regular season.

That’s normal.

the hype of college football died in 2020 for me. The once greatest sport ever created is now a watered down NFL 2.0

problems on the OL, inability to run

I fully expected to O-line to take time to develop. New players, mixed with young and talented but inexperienced players, it's just going to take time. And the first game may well be a casualty of that, hope we can compensate enough to get the W.

I think it's good they are being exposed to what in my opinion is going to be a good and deep defense in practice every day.

USC beat our arse after all the bullshite last year. To get out manned by those fricks…

We led in the 4th qtr and were tied with less than 4 minutes to go.

USC had a bad record, but lost a lot of close games.
3 points to @Michigan
3 point OT loss to Penn St
5 points to @Washington

Their only double digit loss was 49-35 to ND

They also beat A&M in their bowl game.

Our biggest issue was not being unable to run and not being able to stop USC on 3rd down.

Matt moscana I know he’s not super popular on this site but he’s prob the one whose practice breakdowns I mostly beleive because he’s a relatively straight shooter. I remeber in 23 he said the offense would be elite however said the Db room was extremely concerning and that they were flat out uncompetitive and lost damn near every rep in 1 on 1’s. He straight up said LSU would have to win a lot of games in shootouts . People at the time were crapping on him and said 1 on 1’s are designed for the offense to win a lot. Well we all know that 23 team infamously went on to be the worse defense in LSU history and couldn’t cover a soul while the offense was historically good.

All we ever hear in August is positivity. Then we find out we still can’t run the ball but people get mad when you have realistic expectations. Vegas isn’t high on us for a reason. A reason most fans on here won’t admit for 2 months.

What’s the take on Clemson’s practices? Every position group looking legit?

Depending on what sportsbook you look at LSU has the 8th or 9th best odds to win the NC. The teams generally ahead of them...

Ohio State,
Texas
Penn State,
Georgia
Clemson
Notre Dame,
Oregon,
Alabama

all either made the CFP last year or were just outside (Alabama). LSU didn't even finish the season ranked last year. Given that fact, I'd say "Vegas" is unreasonably high on LSU.
