Imagine trying to figure out an OF with Chris Stanfield, Derek Curiel, Jake Brown, Josh Pearson and Konnor Griffin
It wouldn't have been hard at all. Pearson and Stanfield would be on the bench

He 100% made the correct decision. But damn what could have been with him, Monster Milam, and Dardar in the infield.

Him and Skenes together, is an awesome young core to build around.
Too bad they play for Pittsburgh, which won't build shite.

He was closer than most people realize. Truly came down to the last day with the decision.
I can’t believe some of yall believe this
It’s great that we were the college he committed to, but there was a 0.00000% chance a kid like that ever actually thinks for a second about going to college.

You can choose not to believe what I'm saying, but I'm not making things up.

Cool. Let’s do an exercise then:
Konnor was the 9th overall pick in his draft class. Since 1980, there have been ~900 kids selected in the top 20 picks of their draft class. How many of those have chosen to go to college?
Spoiler: it’s zero.
And as an added bonus, who is the highest draft pick since 1980 to turn down their pick and go to college?
Spoiler: it wasn’t anywhere close to a top 10 overall pick.
I absolutely believe that you believe what you’re saying, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s one of the dumbest and most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen posted on this website. I know you love to smell your own farts and make shite up to sound like you’re smarter than you actually are but let’s simmer down on this one.

What would have happened. LSU would have won 2 National Championships. Imagine how that would have been.
Oh yeah, nevermind

That's a cool thought exercise. And again, you can choose to not believe what I'm saying. But I'm not making things up. There are several guys we've had committed in the past few classes that were drafted later than him that had less than zero chance of coming to LSU. He was different.

No, it’s the reality of the situation for anyone who isn’t a delusional loon. It doesn’t happen. And guess what? He’s in the league like the rest of the thousands of guys who’ve been in his position since baseball players started making real money 50 years ago, so the real “cool thought exercise” here is you being arrogant enough to think that you have some inside info that Konnor Griffin was aCtUalLy going to be the one out of a thousand who wasn’t just posturing to get a bigger bonus.

Yes true but they’re in Pittsburgh for God’s sake. Skenes is one of, if not the best young pitcher ever. It’s nice to say you want to do this or build that, but he’s got to go to a team that has a chance to win it all. Pitt isn’t it and Baseball will pay astronomically absurd money to anybody. Skenes is not anybody He is Him.

I know that I have inside info. That’s why I said what I said.
But again, feel free to believe what you want.
