Armoni Goodwin is the more likely portal casualty

There’s 8 scholarship RB, I would think so.

Redshirt! No need to waste it he is behind Diggs, Jackson, Emery, Williams, Cain, and Braford who all have played some. If Goodwin was healthy he would be behind him. Just mean fresh legs for next season with LSU losing 4 rbs after this season.

Holly is 5'9"ish, maybe 190.

I’m pretty sure he’s 5-7

If he were to transfer - and he shouldn't yet - I'd suggest Kansas State. It's where small, shifty running backs go to prosper.

These days, I would rather be a RB in a healthy rotation to keep legs fresh. The days of beating a bell cow into the ground for 30 carries a game are slim, especially with Jackson’s bruising running style. Nothing wrong with Holly redshirting, and looking to split time with Jackson in the future. He should perfect his catching out the backfield, he would be a good compliment/change of pace to KJ

Probably because it’s gonna be Caden Durham.

5’7 190 and slow he’s most likely going to transfer because next year Kaleb Jackson will be the bell cow

Where the hell do you get he's slow. Rarely ever was there anyone on the field faster than him.

Yes he is redshirting and he isn't going anywhere.

Holly is an excellent receiver, he played in the slot his 8th grade year on varsity and caught a lot of passes out of the back field during his high-school career. I watched a lot of his games and only saw him drop one punt or kick off.

I don’t think redshirting benefits schools anymore. At least not the school that takes them directly out of high school. It just makes them look more attractive when they enter the portal since they have more eligibility.

he could be a portal casualty too.

We lose alot at the RB position after this year, would have alot of playing up for grabs next year.
I could be wrong but we lose williams, cain and emery. Diggs could declare for draft if he continues to produce, he may want to move on.

Would be the dumbest most self destructive decision.

disagree. Corey Kiner transfered from LSU after one season and now in his 2nd year at Cincinnati, he had almost as many rushing yards (328) in 4 games as he did in 10 games (365) his first year there. He's also in a power 5 conference now since Cincinnati moved to the Big 12.

I don't want him to leave, but he is definitely good enough to go to even other SEC teams and become the starter.

Aren’t we losing most of the RB room after the season.

Seems like Holly has an opportunity if he stayed. These days you really need 2 (or more) solid backs. Jackson will be one, why can’t Holly be the other.

i 100% believe Diggs will leave, so LSU will lose 4 RBs at the least. I also think Goodwin will transfer leaving us with 3 RBs. Jackson will be the starter and IMO, Holly should be the backup. You'll have Caden Durham and Tre Bradford to provide a change of pace.

Probably a red shirt. How things work these days, he could be a portal casualty too. Hope that’s not the case.

Much more likely Goodwin and maybe Bradford (again) hit the portal.

Holly has no reason to be in a hurry. He is a freshman who will likely be a RS Freshman next year. Williams, Emery, Cain are out of eligibility. Diggs will have a decision to make (late round or stay). LSU is only signing 1 RB out of high school. Next year will be Holly's best shot to show out. 2025 will be interesting with Jackson, Holly, Durham, #1 Ranked RB Berry (hopefully), and another 4* Simon.
