In 2011 that was excellent for an LSU QB.
Yet it was still behind the times of what was occurring elsewhere in college football. Saban was still fairly conservative offensively back then yet AJ McCarron had more passing yards, a higher completion percentage, more yards per attempt & almost an identical passer rating.

Not excellence, but solid enough.
How about Jefferson's stats in his game prior.
5-13, 30 YDS, 1 TD
THAT'S RIGHT, 30 frickING YARDS. So yeah, maybe don't laugh at Lee's stats?
Jordan Jefferson was 1-9 on 3rd down in the Georgia game.
1 OF frickING 9!
He was horrific upon his return.
STFU
Just because I said Lee's stats were pedestrian, doesn't mean I meant that Jefferson was any better. That's what you get for assuming dumb shite. Both were awful yet were simply a product of lack of development & an outdated offensive scheme.

Well Les’s oldest daughter was 16-17 in 2011
So if true, I dont exactly feel bad for Lee.
But that’s also definitely Not true.

I always heard after 9-6 game Lee stopped going to class. He threw 2 bad INTs and sort of fell into a depression. Who knows if that’s true.

the story from the Jefferson camp was that Miles caught Lee fricking his daughter mid-season
So you're contending that Jarret Lee was "smacking dat arse" of Smacker Miles.
What a delusional and wild theory, but I suppose it "could" have happened...

Now THAT is fricking money. Dude is definitely a better comedian than QB.

Well, the story was that Snapper played for the other team, so Les should have been very happy.

I think T-bob has even said that they ran Lee with the 1s all the way up until gameday and then Les did Les things and switched it.

Last game of the year for the National Championship -- no need to hold anything back. But Les did.

Bama was the better team that year. Despite what LSU accomplished, who they beat and how they beat them….Bama was the better team.
Saban played LSU’s way the first game and it burned him. With another shot, he wasn’t missing again.
Just like this year, Georgia was the better team. They played Bama’s way the first game and got burned. They got a second chance and played their game.

Here's an idea: instead of passing on most downs because your "passing QB" is in the game, maybe you let him hand the ball off to the running backs and use a conservative game plan like they used against Oregon to start the year.
So you put in your "passing QB" to do what your mobile QB is doing? You realize that Jefferson only threw 17 passes in the game? Completed 11 of them.

It's hilarious the Lee/Jefferson still brings out the tards when we all know now Mett was the best QB on that roster.

No they were not. Talent was very much equal. The difference was Bama had a head coach & an offensive staff who were willing to adjust outside of their comfort zone.

In his defense, if should’ve been if we only played Mett tweets and not Lee.

0-40 would have been better. A loss that bad on the big stage would have ushered Miles out earlier. Les damage would have been done to the program.

Les didn't think Lee could handle the Alabama pass rush... they were getting through like it was a jail break.... and Jefferson was at least tough.

Now maybe you want to tell me about his amazing rushing yards? Even with more carries than everyone else on the team combined? Oh, some of those were sacks? So should we subtract from his amazing passing game instead?
Oh, and let's not forget his INT...
But oh yeah, imagine if we handed the ball off to our running backs instead of the wanna be running back playing QB. Hmmmm, would that have been so bad?
Next, let that hand off come with the threat of a QB who could get more than 5 yards a pass. Hmmmm, indeed.

So replace a less mobile QB with and even lesser mobile QB? Lol
Mett was a statue and Bama would have broken every bone in his body that night had he played.
In other words, no QB on LSUs roster was coming close to beating Alabama in that game.
