I think most of yall are pitiful at reading people. They are angry about the negative light the governor has shed on LSU and the effects it could have on our Coaching hire. If you're a die hard fan you should be thankful they're casting the image of stability and authority to make the Coaching decision and not the governor. Are be stupid and keep bashing - someone has to stabilize this mess and that's put on Verge.

The answers on “mutual” parting with Woodward were weak. They clearly wanted to make it look like Little Landry wasn’t involved but he 100% was involved.
Scottie Ballard is a straight shooter and friends with Woody. He knows the answers were BS and you could see it.
Carmouche’s answer about tax payers paying buyout was interesting. Never have and never will he said. Well then why was Little Landry so whiny about it?
I have always liked Verge. He’s an asset to LSU. I trust him to want the best qualified guy to coach here.
If we can’t have buyouts anymore, I still say we’re going small ball here now. Don’t want to upset Little Landry

I made a horrible decision voting for Jeff Landry. I will never vote for him again. The man is crude and has embarrassed the State and its flagship university. Why Landry would feel such a need to do such a thing is beyond me. He has lost any support from me going forward.

Verge Ausberry was in the thick of things when female student-athletes reported sexual misconduct on the part of LSU coaches when he took no action on behalf of the complainants. Not a good look nationally, should anyone care.

People need to reserve judgement on Landry for now and see how all this shakes out. My own take is that this was a necessary purge of a HC and AD who were not going to change a thing to make the football team better, between their huge salaries, joint agent, and stubborn pride in refusing to admit they weren't getting the job done. And plus Kelly was lazy.

What is the timeline on all this as far as Verge being “the man” on the search?
The BOS is voting on the new prez Tuesday. It will be Rousse since he is Jethro Landry’s man. Rousse will likely immediately hire Schroyer.
Then what happens? Will Ausberry have to go back and say to candidates “Sorry, forget what I told you and your interview is canceled. The new AD is in charge now.”
AND Schroyer will be a hatchet man and likely to serve up a coach that will accept a Jethro Landry bargain basement contract so forget the “no expenses spared” bullshite.
The timing of all this is comical. There will likely be a new AD by early next week. What a clown show and a shite show.
