My bet is that every starter plus at least 2-3 on the bench have informed MM they're not coming back, they've cleaned out the dorms and are on the way back to wherever they're from.

Honestly the NIT should just go back to giving autobids to teams that win their regular season conference title but not the tourney title and then just try to fill the rest of the bracket from there.

Fox started their own reject tourney for Big Ten, Big 12, and Big East schools. NIT will be gutted to the CBI.

Now that SC declined, I full support LSU's decision.
But SC was quite competitive in their losses throughout the year -- vs Auburn, Florida, Miss St, Ole Miss, Aggies, Tennessee and in the SEC tourney vs Arkansas. Color me shocked that they declined, but maybe it's on principle given their poor W-L record

The NIT needs to die. I hate it but I’ve seen 7 teams that have declined bids already. Supposed to grow to 10-12. We’ll see but it’s just not relevant AT ALL any more.
