Bro, offensive line might be the biggest gripe in the recruitment. Running back has not been ignored or under recruited at all. I like our running backs. Now it hurts that one of them is suspended and the other was kicked off the team but he has done a really good job with the running backs.

Kelly's biggest failure at LSU has been his mismanagement of the staff - particularly the retention of elite recruiters - on his first staff here. I am a fan of Kelly and I hope that his staff hires over the last 2 seasons pay dividends and it's not too little too late. I think that he rectified the problem bringing back some guys but he lost 2 seasons of elite recruiting (not necessarily at RB, though).

Sloan and Davis will both be under the microscope this season. If there are any coaches on the staff that have the highest chances of being fired by next season if they don’t deliver, it’s them two.

Kelly literally just signed 5 star and #1 RB in the country Harlem Berry the last recruiting cycle you dipshit lol. How much better do you want? I mean you can’t get much better than the #1 ranked RB. Also Durham was a top 5 RB in the country.

Bigger issue has been the playcalling and OL play when it comes to RBs. They can’t or won’t scheme well to block for runs. They have no identity of a running game.
Sloan is not a good playcaller. He’s decent at pass play calling in between the 20’a but awful at run play calling and red zone play calling. He’s a Madden play caller.
As long as he is the OC, LSU will struggle to run the ball even if they had peak LF7 or Guice. He’s simply shown to be that bad. He makes no adjustment for the limitations of the OL and it is very much scheme more than anything.
