Must be young guys downvoting you, because you nailed it. Moss was never a team player. He seemed to mature into that late in his career.
No you're just a fricking idiot like him.

Lost my dear sainted mother to untreatable bile duct cancer.
Best wishes to Randy for full recovery.

This is the correct answer here. For many cancers today, it’s all about the genome of the cancer cells. If it is amenable to immunotherapy, the outlook is very good for a much longer period of time.

Dude's an HOF lock if he isn't in already. Completely dominant in his time.
His son was a great Tiger.

Not true at all. They caught it early and he probably had the best surgeon in the world perform the procedure.
Now, 2036? That’s another story.

Dude, the 5 year post whipple procedure for pancreatic or bile duct cancer is around 20-30%. Catching bile duct or pancreatic cancer early means you die in 1-3 years vs 1-3 months.
Like even stage 1 pancreatic cancer has a below 50% 1 year survival rate. If it's bile duct cancer it's basically the same.

Surviving for 5 years with a 50% chance survival rate is not a “miracle”
I was saying it will not be a miracle.

a surgeon once told me his "golden rule of surgery": eat when you can, sleep when you can, and don't f^%$ with the pancreas.
best of luck to him!
best of luck to him!

You completely misread what i said. The ONE YEAR survival rate of the type of cancer he has is AT BEST 50%. That's if it was stage one, which has literally zero symptoms and is only ever discovered on accident. If he has stage 4 then he has about a 15-20% chance of 1 year survivial.
The 5 year survival rate of the type of cancer is at best 20%. If he has stage 4, it's sitting at a
1-2% chance of survivial.
To give you an idea of how bad this type of cancer is only about 8.5% of people, regardless of stage, are alive after 5 years.

From the description, sounds almost identical to cancer I had. Cancer of small intestine, but basically same exact location. Just pure luck found by basic blood work and my liver function was elevated. Further test found tumor starting to block bile duct. Had whipple, which is no joke, then chemo. That was 14 yrs ag January. Prayers to him
Amen
My younger brother was just diagnosed with Bladder Cancer but was found in the very early stages by pretty much luck as well. Went do a scan because he had been having issues with Kidney stones for a good while now. During the scan they saw a lesion in his bladder. Removed it last week and he won't need any treatment, just a recheck in 3 months.

He's lucky. My mother died of bladder cancer when she was only 52.
