Just my opinion, but the bowl seems like the perfect opportunity to work on some needed additions to the offense.

Worried about the O Line? Spend time on the screen passes. You know Nuss can throw it downfield, get him comfortable dropping it quickly to guys. You have Durham and Anderson with blazing speed, Thomas is a punt returner so you know he's good in space. That'll slow down the pass rush, and you should also work on getting the ball quick to Green. That's something you want for next year anyway, may as well get some good work in against an Aranda defense this year.

Nuss shouldn’t play in any of the OOC games

does it concern anyone

When did we stop wanting to watch good football games and start worrying?

It's just weird how all of a sudden fans don't want to watch LSU play quality teams OOC, and now fans don't want quality bowl games.

Hurley will come in in the 4th qtr. and go 9 of 11 for 115 and 1 td, rush for 28 on 4 carries and the calls for Nuss to be replaced will be unbearable. Tiger fans are the best!!

I agree with playing cautiously.
He should play, but he should run less.
Oh wait…

Nuss shouldn’t play one down like who cares about this bowl but family and friends.
I can’t remember the bowl we played in last year or what city times have change guys this loyalty crap is over with you have to plan your business for the future .

Nuss is far from a finished product. Every game helps his development. Remember this was his first year with real playing time. Not to mention the benefit of getting comfortable with some of his new O-Linemen.

I’ve never seen so many people obsessed with a simple statement. I’m sorry if you guys want “cautiously” to mean anything other than “run carefully”. That’s what it means in this case. Is anyone else confused?

People who don’t want to watch the bowl game or don’t care. Y’all must not remember the early 90’s.

Great opportunity to get game reps with the new OL and WRs. Can't play scared.

Exactly. Work the cadence and flow of the Offense. With that said, I hope the game is in a position where Hurley can get some 4th qtr reps which includes throwing the ball a few times.

Agree with the poster that questions once a team gets 3 losses in a season every game after that is “meaningless”?

Any opportunity for these kids who were practicing in the August heat pre-season to have some fun, get a swag bag, be celebrated has “meaning”.

I actually can remember that Nuss led the team on a winning TD drive last year vs Wisconsin. I think that demonstrated ability and leadership has meaning.

If all you are really trying to say if “gee, I hope nobody gets injured because I am already looking ahead to next year” then, yes, we all agree with you.

Nuss playing in the meaningless bowl game?

Why would you're starting QB next season not play? This is just stupid. Nuss also has numbers to keep up with on his season/career at LSU

We are going to have some pi$$ed off fans if this makeshift line gets Nuss hurt so he is rehabbing until next year and not getting better at his craft on the field with receivers....like this coming summer.
Not to even have to mention, why would we give Clemson fresh film on our offense? and expose our weaknesses.
There is no good reason why Nuss or Durham should play in this bowl game, and a whole lot of reasons why certain key players should NOT.
Let's stop being stupid for a change.

Of what significance was the Oklahoma game? Should he have played in that game?
