Keep changing it up. Find a lineup that can hit. But Curiel, brown and Milam back to back to back ain’t it.

If baseball reference is accurate, this will be Simpson's first start in the outfield in college ball. And Caraway played only third base in two years at Oregon State.

I like seeing Simpson getting a look in the OF. I thought he might get a chance in RF against LHP if Brown hasn't improved there.

I thought Reaves might get a start at 2B by now. I think Dardar is too good of a hitter to be left out. I think he's better than Caraway at 2B.

Very interested on why you’d think this

3 players in a row that can’t hit lefties… not strange at all

Curiel hit lefties well last season, Milam as a switch hitter hit lefties almost as well as he hit righties in his career. Brown is the only one who really struggled against lefties last year.

Derek Curiel

Split Stats: Despite being a left-handed hitter, Curiel was actually better against left-handed pitchers (.324) than his .288 average against right-handed pitchers, noted by Tiger Rag as being a "unicorn" split.
Overall Splits: For the entire 2025 season, he hit .288 against right-handed pitchers (26-for-90) and .324 against lefties (12-for-37).

Stevan Milam couldn’t find splits, and his frequency as a left handed batter is far more than it is as a righty.

And I’ve agreed Brown’s history hasn’t been good against lefties to this point in his career.

So where exactly was I wrong again?

Nope. But it’s ok. Hopefully I’m wrong by the end of the season.
