You obviously know the family or a friend of family….
I don’t see how he gets a college degree after all this jumping around… that won’t happen.
What is the mothers business ??
She's a pharmacist, has a family health clinic. TJ comes from well educated, respected parents.

He better be Dr. Finley soon

Oddly, he's not the only QB playing his 6th year of college football. TJ Finley was a Freshman on the LSU 2020 team w/ Max Johnson. There was a QB from Longview, TX LSU was also recruiting for the same class, Haynes King, but didn't get him. Guess what....all THREE are still playing college football.
Coming out of high school, King signed w/ A&M and Jimbo Fisher. After Orgeron was fired, Johnson transferred from LSU to A&M to play w/ his younger brother. Finley ended up going to a number of different schools. Fisher got fired at A&M. King and Johnson both had a number of injuries and ended up transferring from A&M, King to Georgia Tech and Johnson to North Carolina. King had a good season last year and is starting QB this year. Johnson had a disastrous broken leg in the first game last year but is trying to make a comeback w/ new coach Bill Belichick. Here's an in-depth story about his injury and come back.. PS, Johnson's younger brother also transferred to UNC and is still there.

quote:I think you're wrong about that because he will go to the league. I don't know if he will get drafted, maybe, but he will definitely get signed as a UFA. I mean he is a prototype NFL QB as for as size wise with being big and strong with a strong arm. I don't know how much he has improved since his LSU days, but I mean he has picked up a ton of experience with all of the college stops. Lol He's played for a lot of different OCs, so he's gotten a lot of terminology and different offenses experience. He's thrown for over 6 thousand damn yards which is a surprise, but he's been in college forever. But he's not hurting now in this new college era with the NIL money. I don't know how much he's get, but he's getting paid. But even though he's a statue in the pocket, he's big and strong with an arm like I said. So, I would not be surprised if he makes an NFL team as a backup.
frick it... enjoy yourself kid. He knows he ain't going to the league but clearly enjoys playing college ball

TJ Finley lands at sixth school

Why/How is this happening now? Season already started. Been waiting on NCAA to clear? Just seems like odd timing.

Just needs to find a system that fits his skill set

He's the Crash Davis of CFB.
6,128 career passing yards at 6 different schools is a rather…dubious record.

John “ Bluto” Blutarsky was at Faber College for 7 years.

So what happened to him at Tulane? Didn’t he have legal issues
Posted on 9/1/25 at 12:13 pm to jbraua
Oh my God, how old is he now 30?

Tulane after playing for Western Kentucky in 2024. He previously played for LSU, Auburn and Texas State.
LSU 2020
Auburn 2021-2022
Texas State 2023
Western Kentucky 2024
Tulane (spring only) entered transfer portal end of April
Georgia State - signs apparently to be a back up

Did he ever play for Tulane? Wasn't that where he was supposed to play this year before he got in trouble?

I hope he's gotten decent NIL money out of this

I am genuinely shocked that he has thrown for over 6,000 yards in college.

He had a really good year at Texas State, and then I feel like their coaching staff went out and got a transfer QB. I may be wrong, but I don't think he was looking to transfer from there per se, he may have gotten beaten out.
eta:
TJ's 2023 season at Texas State
279/414, 67.4% completions
3439 yds (8.3 ypa)
24 TDs/ 8 ints
also 5 rushing TDs
also 8-5 record with a bowl win (TJ started all 13 games)
