Indiana has certainly used the portal to their advantage, but it’s not like they’re loaded with NFL talent. They had two guys drafted from last year‘s team—a fourth and a seventh rounder.
Even this year's team, outside of Mendoza, the quarterback, the rest of their draft-eligible players have late-round grades at best.
I think their head coach and his staff deserve a ton of credit.

They have a great Quarterback. That can mitigate a lot of issues in college football.

I agree. But coaches identify the players that do them well and the good ones preach it.

That's what I was saying in another thread on what LK needs to get here asap to get the train going. It ain't gonna happen with our present OL.

He’s not going after talent he goes after system fits

Day would be eating the clock for the winning FG if he just took the points on the last drive.
Too many coaches make such stupid critical mistakes

Regardless of outcome, Indiana is a well coached out talented team !

AND he missed the tying FG. Ha

That's twice in 3rd and 1 that OSU has gone pass instead of run inside the red zone. Both times they've come away with no points

How TF did Indiana amass this talented of a team? Are they rich
They have a ton of money. And their boosters are willing to spend. They have a NIL budget of $10 million for basketball.

that speaks volumes on coaching development, schemes..the exact opposite of LSU's last 3 years. LSU and Indiana went to two different directions.
I also have to wonder if southern kids vs northern kids are evaluated differently. Just a thought seeing such disparity in rankings with what we are seeing on the field.

The refereeing in the SEC is now another level bad. Either that or the players are just that badly coached.
Iam pulling for Indiana. But they are holding the shite out of ohio. I mean flat out wwe take down holding.

Indiana radiates intelligence and discipline in their play. They are outclassed by OSU in terms of talent, but they compensate with execution, tactical acumen, and passion.
In many respects, they are the antithesis of the Kelly-coached Tigers, who were inherently stupid and indifferent the last two seasons.
Cignetti must be a true football savant. What he has accomplished in just two years is almost miraculous.

Without looking at their roster, I bet it’s one of the older ones in the country. That matters, especially in the trenches.

You are correct. My first post on this topic was addressing the transfers and coaching of Indiana.
