Exactly. If John David Baker performs at OM this season (also LK protege) it should be easy to hire him to LSU as well.

This is LKs offense and not at all like BK losing Denbrock or Orgeron losing Joe Brady with obvious catastrophic results because they can’t scheme shite on their own.

Weiss seems inevitable he will be gone within a year or two.

Baker turned down his Alma mater who also happened to be in the playoffs to return to LSU. I don’t think he would do that if he was gonna bounce a year later.

I think Weis will almost certainly take either a P4 HC job or an NFL OC gif next offseason.

Baker has already said he’s taking the Lanning route. He’s going to be more picky and he can afford to be since he and his family are happy here. Him leaving in the next cycle will be dependent on the jobs that open and if any of the major ones consider him. If next offseason is more like 24, he’ll probably ride it out and stay an extra year for a better job. If it’s anything close to this offseason, he’ll likely be gone. But it’s going to take something better than Tulane and Memphis (2 of the 5 best jobs in the G5 by far) for him to leave. That pretty much says P4 or bust.

his only success has been with Lane.

Well yeah he’s 32 years old

His play calling was phenomenal in the playoffs

He was on his own as OC at FAU 2018-2019 and his offenses were at the bottom of the conference. Not to take shots at him, I like the guy, but anything he knows about good offense he learned after hooking up with Lane Kiffin.

Maybe, but he's got a contract that guarantees he'll be the highest paid OC in the SEC every year. As young as he is, he may take the Blake Baker route and wait on a big job.

I could somewhat care less who our OC is as long as we have Lane.

Appears likely, but the good thing is the offense comes from Kiffin so it will never bottom out like it did last year

Probably. But this is the most important one, and we really need him this year.

The offense is Kiffin's Weis knows Kiffin's offense. So Kiffin isn't having to implement his offense and terminology to a new team and a new coach. Weis will be able to build out the offense and it will allow Kiffin to focus on whatever he deems necessary.

Weiss probably correct. Baker is waiting for a P4 job. Like he said he wants the Kirby Smart plan

don't make your first NFL OC job be with the Philly Eagles. Worse fan base that creates drama and gripes about the team that goes to the playoffs and wins superbowls.

There was some new user who kept making threads stating he was going to the Eagles as if it was a fact. Thankfully his posts kept getting removed even though he kept questioning why they were getting removed. I am so tired of how many users kept stating wrong information as if it were fact.

Enjoy Weiss while you can guys. Looks like we may not have him for long. Too many teams are already slobbering over him. I’m sure the same amount or more NFL teams will be after him at the end of next season. It’s a miracle we are even getting him this year honestly.

Since we know he's sticking around now, can we start spelling his name correctly?
Good luck with that.

The Rant is loaded with sterotypical poorly educated "Louisiana Lifers" that struggled to graduate from high school.

They have trouble with spelling. (Being drunk and/or high doesn't help either)

Its just a matter of time before he does become either a HC or NFL OC.

I think if he wanted to make the jump to the NFL, it would’ve already happened. 1-2 good years in Baton Rouge and he will have his pick off head coaching openings.
