Crypto is dead and tech is kneecapped by inflation.
So which market sector will lead us forward?
Traditional Energy is leading now but will it continue?
Financials?

Eh I believe we’re still in a technology renaissance. There’s a lot of cool things happening and growing in that wide space. But it could be blockchain tech, cyber security tech, quantum computing, smart grids, etc.

I can tell you no one is going to be cutting back their budgets on IT and Cyber Security though.

Agree, if you say next 1-2 years value and health care probably the play.

A decade? Give me high cap tech all day.

Clean energy/carbon negative companies. I think most of it is buzzword nonsense, but corporate America has changed as far as climate reporting/mandates and there’s no going back. Probably 95%+ of companies in this industry will go under, but a think a lot of the next decade’s “unicorns” will be in this space.

You saying something is dead and another is knee capped within a 10 year horizon? I don’t think this board is the right place for you.

If we are legit looking at 10 entire years here, I’d put Crypto and Tech about literally every other sector and it’s not even close.

The baby boomers are not only retiring, but they are interfacing with the healthcare system at a much higher pace and for a longer a amounts of time.

Time = Money.

Healthcare stocks.

I don’t see how the current system can possibly manage what is coming, but we are about to find out.

I’d buy anything with Hunter Biden on the board.

About as good moving forward as the current implementation of crypto "currencies"

For the OP hard to know since 10 years is a long time. But I'm sure it will be some new tech company. So tech is probably the answer. Currently we are just having tech companies come back to reasonable valuations.

Longevity sector might be worth looking into.

Eta: warfox is on the right track

There's a worldwide demographic collapse that's coming which will lead to a worldwide collapse in both workers and consumers.

How are some big money folks hoping to get around that? Longevity research, which is research into longer health spans (living longer but healthier).

The global system isn't going to be able to handle the upkeep the boomer generations will need. This is far more true in other countries than the United states.

States.

Yep, US is just now beginning to build out our semiconductor infrastructure more but it's going to take time.

I'm going with crypto. Crypto is still very young. Think internet companies 12 years later, circa 2005.

As a subset of technology, cyber-security. I worked for a managed security service provider for a very brief amount of time between a couple of jobs. The amount of money and the size of the companies doing MSSP deals, blew me away. There is so much unknown in cyber and so much money that needs to be spent on it.

If I have to pick one stock to hold the next ten years or more, I'm going with Tesla. People forget that they aren't just making cars, there energy side will outgrow the automotive. Cybertruck will be an industry to itself and I'm not going to doubt Elon's ability to get Optimus profitable. Energy, transportation, labor, insurance and communication (via starlink). Feel free to disagree but I've been consistent on this one for the past several years.

I think tech and especially healthcare technologies will be the next frontier. Pharma might be as well. A lot of old and sick people for the next 20 years or so meeting some really cool technology that can solve problems in new ways.
