What a terrible way to end a relationship/marriage. Come out of retirement as the GOAT- getting divorced as a consequence- and playing a mediocre season.

Most of the time when you keep "coming back" it doesn't end well. Brady should've quit after the Super Bowl win in 2020. Go out on top like Elway.

Dude needs to go join Peyton and Eli doing alternate game commentary. I bet Brady would be hilarious.

Or he retired, figured out the marriage was shot, and said screw it I'm playing one more year. Marriages take two to tango.

This. She used his career as an excuse to leave but I guarantee the issues went much deeper. You don’t end a marriage solely because the husband wants to work the job he loves another year or two before retiring. Especially one that yields millions of dollars and will force retirement sooner than later due to physical requirements

Good. Now next year we’ll get a full season of everyone talking about the NFL without Tom Brady. After that, maybe it will die down.

This isn't exactly a scandal here but...

One of my best friends for a looooong time(meaning I trust him) is very much rich and lives on the beach in Miami.

He said he lives less than 0.5 miles from where Brady filmed this video, and there isn't a cloud in the sky today, like in the video

:black helicopter:

Or... He just filmed the video a few days ago

I can’t believe he’d give up a life of playing football to just sit around and be extremely rich and able to bang any chick he wants.

True. But I think Brady is one of those guys who is ridiculously competitive and he has long been worried nothing can ever satisfy that need to compete like the NFL. When football has been essentially your entire life, for someone like Tom Brady you may not be able to, or want to imagine your life without it. It's like a drug.

Purportedly this is what Brady's dad said ahead of the Super Bowl in 2021.

quote:

"[I] asked him [Brady's father] what he thought about the game, the opportunity to win again. He said the only thing he’s worried about is the kid, the kid won’t go home," Carter said.

"He said ‘the kid is outside still playing, and he won’t come in. It’s raining, everything.’ He said, ‘I am only afraid the kid won’t stop playing even if he wins.'"

Brady didn't stop playing after that game.

I think it is a problem for many athletes. Their entire identity is wrapped up in being a professional player. Once that is gone, you kind of look at yourself and say "who am I"? Your career ends in your mid-30's (sometimes 40's) and you now, for the first time in your life, have to figure out what you want to do...with the only thing you've ever wanted to do no longer being an option.

Patrick Mahomes is the NFL's annoited one. He will get the calls, notoriety, money, and Superbowl rings. Long live the new king. All others need not apply.

He didn’t fall off a cliff skill wise but he was slipping enough to not be at his standard.

If the Bucs were coached by a more competent staff, we wouldn’t be talking about Brady slipping at all. It was his 6th best season in yards and 4th best in completion percentage.

Maybe. Next week will also go a long way in adding to that legacy, or not.

How much of this offense is another Andy Reid invention? Reid is getting up there in age now and I don't see this partnership spanning much longer.

The reason for the divorce was already firmly in place and ahem teaching his children Brazilian (was it?) Ju jitsu not at the young stud's studio in Miami, but traveling on vacation with the ahem children when just the wife and children were on vacation.
Young stud currently officially her boy toy with lots of non ju jitsu photos of the two of them. She was easily distracted.
