16 team playoff in 2026 could look like No conference championship games 1st round 12/5 2nd round 12/12 Semifinals 12/19 Championship 1/1/27 (or 1/2/27)
And all games except championship on home campuses so cities can get economic benefit, season ticket holders and students can attend easily, and we get true college football atmosphere and ambiance

As ideal as that schedule might be, you have to reconcile it with the Army-Navy game. With the CFP expanding to 12 teams, there is a distinct possibility that either one of them could make it into the playoffs.
With all respect to the tradition, no. If they want in the playoffs then they should be the ones to reconcile a conflict. The entirety of college football should not be beholden to the schedule of two teams.

And there are some who want it to go to 24 teams.
The stupid Big Ten commissioner wants it to go to 24 so Iowa and Michigan State can say they made the playoff every couple years.
It's the dumbest thing ever.

College basketball has a 64 team tournament over 3 weekends.
College football has a 12 team playoff that takes two months

False.
The ratings dropped from the quarterfinals to the semifinals. That is not supposed to happen.

4 team playoff. leave the bowls out of it.
You cant have a 4 team playoff when you now have a 10 seed in the final

Thanks for that valuable input man. Your dumbass opinion meant so much to me.

That’s disingenuous. Bball and football are completely different sports and the former can involve teams playing multiple games over a weekend. The latter can’t.

It’s college in name only at this point

Maybe. But one game involving two teams who are unlikely to be possible playoff participants dictating the playoff schedule is asinine. The schedule should be set and those teams will have to figure out how to handle one of them being in the playoff if that situation arises.
Just as the Rose Bowl had to accept having non B10/PAc teams if they wanted to host the BCS championship game.

Trying to muscle in on the NFL ownership of the month of January.

Just don’t want you to get your hopes up for nothing!

I’m sure you’re used to never having any hopes for success as a cock fan
