Prince and MJ are 1 and 2. List is lacking Bruno Mars and Kendrick

They’re all lip-synched garbage
Don’t watch any of that network propaganda

I like Prince. I'll check it out.

Prince performed that day on a mission to make it best in Super Bowl history. Mission accomplished.

Bruno Mars is, at worst, top 3.

The Super Bowl VIII halftime show on January 13, 1974, at Rice Stadium in Houston, featured a "Musical America" theme. Performers included the University of Texas Longhorn Band, the Westchester Wranglerettes, and violinist Judy Mallett, Miss Texas 1973. It was a traditional marching band-style show, preceding the modern era of pop superstar performances.
Can we go back to this?

Nobody mentioned it yet in this thread, but I liked the recent one at SoFi.
The Bengals Super Bowl when they had Dre, Snoop, 50 Cent, Eminem, etc. That was a really good one.
Oh, and for visual purposes, the one that had Shakira and J-Lo performing together.

I don't feel manly saying this, but Katy Perry was pretty good actually.

Bruno Mars should be in that top 10 somewhere
Without question. He and the RHCP blew the roof off. Top 5, no brainer.

I was still a kid when that aired. During "Men on Football", when they made the Bob Griese joke, I was totally lost. My mom nearly peed herself she was laughing so hard and i didn't understand it a bit.
That show was so successful at halftime, it's what made the NFL re-think Super Bowl halftime. The next year was MJ.

The one that stands out the most to me was Michael Jackson. He put on a very good show and the intro was outstanding.

He was great, but there’s some hard competition from Up With People.

Saw this FB post referencing that halftime show-
