What an abject disaster this hire was.

LSU should be doing the same with kelly.

I thought he demanded a GM be in place to handle all the recruiting stuff because he didn't want to. So then how would there be a bunch of recruiting violations?

He hired Michael Lombardi as his GM, which should explain a lot

Belichick's communication with his staff in the past two weeks has been described as "weird" and "distant" by multiple members of UNC's coaching staff. Multiple coaches were unable to get hold of him during UNC's bye week

Cause he was in Nantucket with the gold digger.

And completely ignoring the fact that they used the portal so heavily because North Carolina raised a shite ton of money for Bill to spend to upgrade the roster. They are funding him to spend with the big boys and he’s putting a shite roster on the field.

He showed up and ran Ryan Browne out of town after a few spring practices because he and Lombardi didn't think he was an "ACC level player". They then went out and got Gio Lopez, and paid him reportedly over a million bucks

Lopez has sucked since game 1, and is hurt more than he's healthy

Browne is the starter back at Perdue and is light years better than anything UNC has put on the field this year

That's just one of dozens of misguided decisions Bill and the staff have made since showing up

First thing I thought. Surely Scott can dig up some kind of violation BK committed.

This whole thing has been so embarrassing for all parties involved. The stench of this will be all over the UNC program for a long time.

Lombardi may have surpassed Bill Polian for number one dumbass in football for me

Those 2 don’t even belong in the same sentence. Polian built the Bills teams that went to 4 consecutive Super Bowls and the Colts team that won a Super Bowl. What has Michael Lombardi ever done?

LSU lost one road game at top 5 Ole Miss. Kelly’s season isn’t over. Belichick’s season is

He also took an expansion team to the NFC Championship in their 2nd year.

Lombardi is a truly gifted podcast host and would probably be okay in a consulting role (NFL), but hes clearly not a serious GM at this stage of his life.

I would absolutely love to shoot the shite with him and get drunk af while watching a game though

In reading some of the articles today, there was also a lawsuit filed a couple weeks ago by their former provost:

quote:

A new lawsuit alleges that the University of North Carolina and its board of trustees illegally hired football coach Bill Belichick behind closed doors. The lawsuit, filed Monday by former UNC administrator Chris Clemens and lawyer David McKenzie, also accuses the public institution of hiding discussions about potential conference realignment — highlighting a “pattern and practice” by UNC to conceal “matters of grave public concern behind closed doors.”

Here’s another interesting thing…

quote:

To add insult to injury, members of Belichick's coaching staff are also already preparing to flee with some even reaching out to programs that are expected to make it to the CFB playoffs about potential roles, the report adds.

Some staffers have reportedly predicted that the expected overhaul could come in the next two weeks with one saying that the 'rats are leaving the ship.'

They also alleged that Belichick's communication with his own coaches has become 'weird' and 'distant' over the past two weeks. The head coach was even said to be unreachable by some members of staff during UNC's recent bye week, which Belichick spent with his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who has become an ever-present fixture on the sidelines of the Tar Heels' games

Good. He's awful.
Brady is the only reason he's even in the discussion for HoF.

The pettiness he has alone, not to mention UNC's record, should have him and his child bride heading back to Nantucket.

It's not hard to figure out when you look at the staff. Most of it is novices, Belichick's kids, and Lombardi's kid. Then there's a couple of very experienced college coaches that probably thought joining up with Belichick was gonna be their way back to big things.

Belichick is really going out about as cucked as possible in all of this

absolutely pathetic and shameful behavior on his part.
