Makes sense, you have a rookie #1 overall pick who needs developing at QB so let’s bring in a quarterback whisperer like… Robert Saleh?

Fun fact: before they were the Jets, they were the New York Titans.

Enjoy working for that owner and the competition for 2nd in the AFC South behind Houston, Saleh.

Some franchises simply don’t even try to win. We all know, and Saleh knows, it will be a 2 or 3 year experiment depending on the record in year 2 and then he’ll be gone.

Would’ve been an interesting job interview to be a fly on the wall:

"I am a generous coach. I can make you rich beyond all measure. I will make you warlord of all Nashville. The team will carry my battle standard to the heart of Jacksonville . Your division rivals will kneel at your feet if you will but kneel at mine".

Kind of ironic that a dude who is a spitting image of Xerxes in 300 would be hired to coach a team called the Titans

Saleh has experience working with dysfunctional front offices so he should fit in there.

Glad that I am not the only one who thinks the mofo looks EXACTLY like Xerxes 300.

Terrible hire. Tennessee just loves hiring defensive minded HC's. Ship has sailed, man. This is the best they can do, moving into a new stadium in 2027. Hire a offensive guy to develop Ward.

I know these opportunities don’t come around that often, but after coaching for the Jets, I’d probably wait for a better job opening.

This. It’s like they’re intentionally trying to lose and tank the franchise. I can’t believe they’re doing this when they’re about to be finished building a new stadium.

I don’t get hiring a retread defense guy who hasn’t shown the ability to get it done as a HC

what a bad retread hire

It's not like the 49ers defense set the league on fire this year either, they were a very mid tier defense.

Adams fell into a potentially winning situation. And flushed it.

This dude is going to stand out in Nashville, but not in a good way. Will they ever get it together in my lifetime? Probably not and I am old enough but not doddering just yet.

With the amount of injuries to star players (Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, 1st round pick Mykel Williams) and then injuries to backups/depth guys, Saleh did an amazing job with what he had.
