Why would Rhule leave an NFL head coaching job for Nebraska?

He's 10-23. I don't think it would be voluntary

Why are people saying tom herman is not coaching? He's on staff with the Chicago bears. He's an analyst of some sort. So strike him out but I would think he might do well there. If he got his coordinators right they might have a chance to win some games.

I don’t think he is leaving Kentucky but Stoops would be the guy I’d go after

They need someone to fix their front 7 and o-line

Georgia southern was running the option last year and this is their first spread year, they should have no business owning the LOS vs a power 5 program

The timing of the firing is odd which is why some think the AD already has his man and it’s not someone currently coaching. I’m pretty sure Herman isn’t still w/ the Bears

Bo Pelini. Don't even need to interview him.

Perhaps they could coax Chris Petersen out of retirement.

If I'm Nebraska I do a full court press on Kentucky's Mark Stoops. He's a guy who has proven that he can win more with less.

The same reason Saban left for a downtrodden Alabama.

I understand that Rhule is on the hot seat, but it stands to reason that he could probably go to a better situation than Nebraska.

Being an analyst for the Bears would not prevent him from taking a HC job.

He's not coaching. He was fired with the rest of Matt Nagy's staff. He's an analyst for CBS Sports now.

Dan Mullen would be a good hire.

He is a socially weird guy and does not do well in a big spotlight.

Nebraska would allow him to recruit outside the big spotlight and he could develop a program. He did it at Mississippi state.

Rumor is that their top target is someone who’s not currently coaching.

Rumor is that they aren’t targeting anybody 5 minutes after firing Frost

If you don’t think there were behind-the-scenes moves going on long before this, you don’t know much about football

I'd make a run at Matt Rhule or Matt Campbell if I were them. I don't think Meyer would even take their call.
