One thing that stands out to me more binging it vs. week to week, is just how pathetic of a character John Locke is. Ben manipulates him the entire series and then kills him . As much as Locke wants to believe he's special, he's nothing but a pawn the entire time.
Locke never really has the upper hand the entire series.
MiB puts Locke in the best perspective and how he used them.
quote:
Do you want to know what he was thinking while you choked the life out of him, Benjamin? What the last thought that ran through his head was? "I don't understand." Isn't that just the saddest thing you've ever heard? But it's fitting in a way because when John first came to the island, he was a very sad man. A victim shouting at the world for being told what he couldn't do, even though they were right. He was weak and pathetic, and irreparably broken, but despite all of that, there was something admirable about him. He was the only one of them who didn't want to leave. The only one who realized how pitiful the life he left behind actually was.
But Locke’s role in the series is pretty much Obi Wan’s in the original trilogy: to be the mentor to the hero. Yes, Jack does not realize it until the end and reviled Locke, but Jack was his unknowing pupil through the series.

Man Lost discussion threads on here were good times.
It was the pioneer of the internet tv show bitchfest.
6.5 days of discussing one thing, word by word.
Fun times

I had watched the first several episodes of the original run but fell off and got...lost. Was just thinking about rewatching/watching.

Do it. Even people who hate the ending agree almost all the characters end on a satisfactory note.

Still the most impressive TV binge I've ever seen
someone on reddit asked if watching Lost was worth it and it reminded me of the time you all lived vicariously through me for 2 weeks

Isn't back on Netflix now, or coming back soon?
Guess it is time to clear the calendar for a few weeks

And Freauxzen was 100% riding the "the plane wreckage in the credits points to them being dead the whole time" train.
Few things on this board have made me madder than people who thought that. Morons. Absolutely fricking idiots. It was clearly...CLEARLY....just a poignant little outro after the credits to show us back where thhis whole journey began. And people took that 5 seconds to mean that literally ALL 6 SEASONS of what we just watched never actaully even happened. I'm getting mad all over again just thinking about the lunacy behind that.
And on a separate note, I cliked the thread and saw the origianl date of 2014 and thougth "9 years ago...LOST thread? I probably posted in here" and only had to get to page 2 and there I was ha. I am jonesing to do a rewatch but that's a hell of a time committment

It was a magical time watching each episode along with the online discussions.
It's still in my top 10 favorite TV series but the week to week experience was like none other before or since.
I don't need to do a rewatch but I took it all in as it was as it was released.
Some fans were disappointed with the ending but IMHO it was one of the all-time great finale's comparable in quality to the final episode of Six Feet Under.

My wife (no pics) and I just started Lost last night. She watched it during its original run and hasn’t watched it since; I’ve never seen it.
ETA What happened to OMLandshark?

My stepdaughter and I finished it a few weeks ago. It’s still an incredible show. It was my 4th or 5th time watching it and her first, and we both absolutely loved it.
She had me to answer some questions that arose but she didn’t really ask many. But it was cool/fun watching her experience it for the first time. Some of the shite blew her mind obviously.
Obviously I’m not down for a rewatch, but since I just watched it over the last year or two I’d definitely contribute to discussion.

this thread is awesome. How did you manage to watch season one in one day. How is that even possible.
