Part of me wants to hate this sequel. But honestly, that was a pretty badass trailer. Not sure I'll see this in theaters or not, but I will definitely see it eventually. It looks good.

This is like calling a movie a mindless popcorn flick, which is what we have been begging for. No messaging, just entertainment. Sounds like a good thing.

Don't worry, I'm sure there will be some artsy indie film released around the same time that addresses some woke issue involving transgendered snails that you will find more intellectually stimulating.

The kicker will be that while snails are hermaphrodites they can still undergo corrective gender surgery to alter the trails they leave, or some other bullshite.

Why is everyone kinda ugly in the trailer?

Not a very regal production.

$310 million???

Looks sorta dumb for that pricetag...what was that Chinese Matt Damon movie?

Is it just me or is this the first time they said Lucius was Maximus's son?

Sometimes you just want a movie that probably has a ton of plot holes but you don’t give a frick because it’s some of your favorite actors fricking shite up.

This is that movie.

This was a loose term in ancient Rome. Julius Caesar claimed Octavian as his son even though he was born his nephew.

Glad other people caught this as strange. It’s admittedly been several years since I saw Gladiator, but I didn’t remember even a hint that Maximus fathered Lucius, so I’m curious to see if / how they shoehorn that in.

I always felt it was implied that Maximus had a romantic history with Lucilla that he may not have been particularly proud of.

The way he asked "Is Lucius safe?" as he died makes me think he kinda knew Lucius was probably his son.

You know what bothered me about that ridiculous trailer? The baboons.

That CGI looked terrible.
