think he did alright with Popeye, but I don't care to watch it. Maybe it is one of his worst.
as a kid I loved the Popeye movie. I mean it’s popeye so for what it was it was pretty good and had some great sequences.

Cadillac Man is my favorite Williams film and it is criminally underrated. It never gets brought up when people list his films.

True, and probably since it's not a full blown comedy with Williams running amuck or the fact Di Nero is in it and it's not a gangster movie, people shy away from it.

Then throw in the subject matter of being a psychiatric hospital with many comatose patients and it may not hold many people's interest with both stars being pretty subdued portraying their roles.

I can’t think of any I don’t like.

Another great one is The Best of Times.

We do 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon. Maybe we should do Robin Williams, or would that be too easy?

Robin Williams was a force of nature.

His great dramatic role was Good Will Hunting. His great comedic role was Good Morning Vietnam. His most iconic role is likely the Genie.

While he was a comic and comedian first and foremost, he had an underappreciated range for things like 1 Hour Photo, The Fisher King or The World According to Garp. Literally irreplaceable.

He was at his best when allowed to be improvisational.

I heard this bit him in the arse with other comics. But most just brushed it aside. Robin liked to riff and do a stream of consciousness type of set so he would occasionally use other comedian's material because it just stuck in his mind and he was just going. He wasn't Denis Leary ripping off Bill Hick's entire set, but the comics would notice. But if approached and confronted about it, Robin would just write a check and say, "Sorry about that."

I think everyone just respected him as a genuine dude.

I know she's not the most beautiful woman to ever grace the screen but, for some reason, Holly Palance just tripped my trigger in this movie.

We had family movie night and made the 9 and 13 yr old watch Mrs Doubtfire. 9 year old was pissed and said it looked like it was filmed in the 1800s. By the end he was laughing. 13 year old is too cool for everything but didn’t hate it. As we are watching it I say “I forgot how awesome he was “.

Also don’t forget Aladdin.

Guy was as dynamic a screen presence as they come.
In roughly 15 years he put out:

Good morning Vietnam
Dead Poets Society
Awakenings
Fisher King
Hook
Aladdin
Mrs Doubtfire
Jumanji
Jacob the Liar
Birdcage
Goodwill hunting
What dreams may come
Patch Adams
One hour photo
Death to smoochy
Insomnia

Just an incredible list. He’s making everyone in America from age 5 to age 85 laugh and cry somewhere in each of those movies.

His cameo on Louie was also great.
